Not sure how you can negotiate with a malignant psychopath.

The only way I see this ending is for someone from Putin‘s inner circle or one of the oligarchs to knock him off.

"I dont want no peace, i need equal rights, and justice". - peter tosh

Marjorie Taylor Greene and Tucker Carlson are parroting Putin’s propaganda, speaking over a chyron across the bottom of the Fox “News” screen that said, “ALL OF THE MONEY SPENT IN UKRAINE COULD HAVE BEEN SPENT HERE HELPING THE AMERICAN PEOPLE.”

David,

What a great. well-documented commentary! And, unless I missed something, you did not even mention the obvious: we could avoid further risk of WWIII. Brave too: Your friends in the Democratic Party must be foaming at the mouth what with you suggesting peace with Putin.

Plus, I learned something: The U.S./Europe alliance's GDP is approximately 30 times that of Russia's. We're the cat and Putin is the mouse (except he is piled to the sky in nuclear warheads).

I think professor snyder makes good points about what borders are, and what is wanted by ukraine and its people. His twitter feed very compelling, their are children singing ukranian anthem iin berlin. They want their country. Snyder doesnt think that acquiescing to russia is advantageous to peace or security. He's got to be among the greatest experts on ukaine, even before rusdian aggression he said we2 was all about ukraine etc.

Then there is Chomsky, concerned always of the nuclear threat and potential catastrophes, the position that David's taking... for a long time.

There is more of a legitimate debate, as snyder i think shows.

Why worry about that when there is professor snyder, and ukranian people, ukranian children singing their national anthem in berlin.

All of this "we know better" whether from the right or left, is just more of out mistaken anerican exceptionalism.
