I need you to help me figure out how to produce next week’s shows. Please RSVP now.
I’m overwhelmed by everything that’s going on in the news, and I don’t want to be paralyzed by it all. Help me by coming to tonight’s Town Hall.
What should I be talking about? And Who should I be talking to?
What should I be reading and watching?
What is really important? What’s just noise?
So, I’m asking you to attend a virtual Town Hall tonight at 9:00 PM Eastern. You can attend via Zoom or by phone.
Tonight it’s you— my listeners. Tell me how to produce next week’s episodes.
I’ll be taking notes. Please show up. Please speak up.
If you’re shy, and the shy ones are usually the ones who have the most important things to say, please contact me in the chat room, which I read the next day.
You can always contact me here:
You can always leave a voice mail here. But I might play it on the show:
I hope to see, and most importantly, HEAR you tonight.
Now… a look back at THE WEEK IN FELDMAN:

Professor of Comics And Cartoon Studies Ben Saunders (1:28:23)
Professor Ben Saunders talks to us about Little Richard’s Tutti Frutti, and how it was originally a pean to anal sex. He specializes in two fields: the literature of the English Renaissance, and the history of British and American comics and cartoons. His first book, Desiring Donne, explored the intersection of spirituality and sexuality in the poetry of John Donne alongside larger questions of literary theory and hermeneutics. Desiring Donne was shortlisted by Choice magazine as an "Outstanding Academic Title" of 2006 and selected as a Finalist for the Oregon Book Award that same year. His second book, Do The Gods Wear Capes?, focused on modern American superhero comics—arguing that superhero fantasies can tell us a great deal about about our conceptions of the human, the post-human, and the divine. Do The Gods Wear Capes has been widely cited in both academic contexts and mainstream journalism; the "groundbreaking" chapter on bondage imagery in Wonder Woman comics is often singled out for particular praise.
