The Supreme Court today overturned Roe!
It was a six to three decision
In his concurring opinion, Clarence Thomas wrote Roe is a start, and he looks forward to overturning same sex marriage, contraception and the 2024 presidential election.
Since Clarence Thomas wants to tell women what to do with their bodies he should start by telling his wife to shut her filthy pie hole.
I guess we should be grateful our Supreme Court showed some judicial restraint by not killing Roe with an AR-15.
Now is the time for all of us to calm down, take a deep breath and wait until Joe Rogan and Jimmy Dore tell us what to think.
How did we get to this place?
Obviously Republicans on the court view fetuses as kindred spirits since their brains are completely undeveloped too.
Today happened because
Conservatives on this court possess such third rate judicial temperaments they think forcing women to carry babies to term will disinsentivize boys from choosing to become girls.
Meanwhile…
On Thursday Clarence Thomas wrote the majority opinion voiding New York’s gun laws.
And then I voided my pants.
Clarence Thomas delivered the court’s strongest opinion ever in support of the Second Amendment. This despite Clarence being the world’s greatest practitioner of gun control having never turned one on his wife Ginny.
The Court also ruled Thursday
in favor of a Georgia death row inmate who, instead of lethal injection, asked to die by firing squad. I’m no doctor, but I’m pretty sure a firing squad is a lethal injection.
This court will rule in favor of anything that involves guns.
I honestly believe Republicans would keep abortion legal if we could somehow figure out how to perform one with an AR-15.
Well, if the Supreme Court’s solution to guns is more guns then the solution to this Supreme Court is more justices. It’s time to start packing. Not weapons. The court.
But lets be realistic about who we’re up against
Those six Republicans who sit on our court aren’t learned scholars. They are angry, malevolent finger-puppets ruled by dark money, anti-democratic, fossil fuel and Wall Street overseers. They stop at nothing.
They Are Ruthless, Self Dealing Hypocrites
For example, Justice Brett Kavanaugh, during hearings on New York’s gun law, remarked people should be able to carry a weapon wherever they want. Meanwhile armed guards are stationed outside his home, at taxpayer expense, because a 26-year-old crackpot from California with a Glock allegedly tried to shoot him.
You would think a Supreme Court terrified of getting assassinated would say, “On second thought, maybe we need to get these guns off the street.”
You would think. But apparently not.
Why should our court worry about guns when they are provided so much protection?
Etched into the entrance of our Supreme Court building should be the words, “Rules for thee, but not for me.”
